Happy Birthday!

Within a blink of an eye, my birthday came and went. I had a very nice birthday. We ended up going to LaRosa’s, a nice little pizzeria we found by accident one day. The pizza was fantastic and so was the garlic bread. My mother had a calzone because she was tired of pizza, can you believe that? Pizza is a staple food here in the house because it’s my father’s favorite dish. There’s no room to be tired of pizza. If we had it his way, we’d eat it everyday. I remember a week where we had it three times (or maybe that was just me). But, going back on topic, the food was superb. I’m pretty sure we’ll end up going back there again. :D

My grandmother and mom planned on the cake my grandmother would bake for me. In the end, I got a delicious vanilla two layered cake with strawberry icing cushioning the two layers. The outer icing was a creamy, whippy vanilla with sprinkles! It made the cake more colorful, and in my eyes, tastier. The vanilla bean ice cream I picked out while shopping complimented the cake wonderfully.

Present wise, I did quite nicely. My grandmother got me a nice electric blanket, that I’m dying to try out. If only it’d get cold for a day so I could test it out! She even got me a nice sheet set to match it, which is great since I honestly can’t remember the last time I had new sheets. Since I have to change sheets, I’ll use brand new ones! My mother got me this really cute outfit. I was honestly a bit hesitant when I found out she picked out my clothes since we don’t really see eye to eye when it comes to clothes, but I really like them. It helps that the latest fashion involves wearing many, many layers of clothing instead of barely nothing, too. My dad (god bless him) got me Guitar Hero II! Now I can rock like rock star! Whooo! *ahem* On another note, my brother (bless his heart) gave me a single sheet of notebook paper which contained a simple message written by him: “Happy 18th Birthday!” along with congratulations from my old middle schoolers. I was a bit of a teacher’s pet, and I really loved the teachers that he got signatures from. I really appreciate his gift, and it’s the first thoughtful gift I’ve ever received from him. It shows he’s maturing, even if a bit.

And I also received two cute little gifts (or would they be considered e-cards?) from Crystal and Raven! I love how Crystal Maple Story-fied me. Raven even made me a cute little wallpaper and avatar. Thanks so much you two!
